Who we are
We are a group of people driven by one mission: to regenerate agricultural ecosystems and give everyone access to healthy, quality food, while protecting the most important thing agriculture and society have — fertile soil.
Suelos Vivos comes from years of study, practice and direct observation in the field. From visiting holdings, supporting regeneration processes and seeing how many productive systems lose fertility while growing more dependent on external inputs.
This project turns that experience into training, advisory work and community for farmers who want to recover life in their soil, autonomy in their decisions and their own judgement in managing fertility.
We are not a company of agronomists here to hand out recipes, but to drive a movement of organic agriculture built on empowering farmers as masters of the fertility of their own crops.
Over 15 years transforming soils in the Mediterranean
Suelos Vivos was born from a simple question: is it possible to produce quality food, cut costs and improve the soil at the same time?
The answer, after years of experimentation, is yes. But it takes a change of approach: seeing the soil not as an inert support to which nutrients are added, but as a living ecosystem that has to be understood and that, when it works well, fertilises, protects and sustains the crop.
We have spent more than 15 years practising, documenting and teaching these techniques.
Suelos Vivos is the distillation of all that learning: a programme designed so that professional farmers can walk the same path, with guidance and real results.
What guides us
Real practice
We don't teach an abstract method: we work from direct experience with soil, crops, water, organic matter and bio-inputs.
Reading the system
Before intervening, we set out to understand the context: climate, soil, management, resources, limitations and production goals.
The farmer's autonomy
The aim is not to create dependency, but for each participant to learn to make better decisions about the fertility of their own system.

Carles Pons
Founder of Bosque Madre and Suelos Vivos
For two decades he has worked in soil regeneration, biofertility and agroecological design, combining field practice, teaching and outreach. He has worked as a trainer or as part of training teams in more than 20 countries, has taught dozens of courses for agricultural bodies, cooperatives and local councils, and has trained alongside international authorities in the field. His work also includes editing and translating books, producing documentaries and building networks around regenerative agriculture.

The place
Tormos, Alicante. The classroom is the field.
The farm that Bosque Madre has been developing since 2026 in Tormos, in the interior of Alicante, is where the in-person workshops take place. A Mediterranean setting: dry climate, calcareous soils and crops such as olive, carob, citrus, avocado and market garden.
It is an experimental space created to develop the techniques taught in the programme: each one is implemented, evaluated and revised, and that continually feeds the process of experimentation and learning.
